MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT FOR THE PACIFIC WATERS ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT
CANADA AT 9:18 P.M. PDT FRIDAY 20 MARCH 2026.

A ridge of high pressure over northern Vancouver Island will continue
to move southeastwards tonight. Strong to gale force westerly winds
will continue over southern sections of West Vancouver Island this
evening and over Juan De Fuca Strait tonight.

A frontal system will move across Bowie tonight, bringing gale to
storm force southwesterly winds to the outer waters. Strong to gale
force southwesterly winds will develop over the central and northern
waters tonight and Saturday morning.

Additionally isolated thunderstorms are expected over the northern
waters tonight and on Saturday with a risk of waterspouts Saturday
afternoon.
