  S of Currituck Beach Light NC to Oregon Inlet NC out to 20 nm...
  S of Oregon Inlet NC to Cape Hatteras NC out to 20 nm...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 519 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Kill Devil Hills to near The Vicinity Of Mashoes to
  near The Vicinity Of Frying Pan, moving east at 30 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Marine observation. At 458 PM EDT, a 40 knot wind gust
           was measured at the Alligator River bridge.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, The Vicinity Of Mashoes,
  Ar140, Ar130, Oregon Inlet, The Center Of Roanoke Sound, The Center
  Of Croatan Sound, and Ar145.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, high waves, dangerous lightning, and heavy
