The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Chandeleur Sound...
  Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20
  NM...
  Lake Borgne...
  Mississippi Sound...

* Until 1100 AM CDT.

* At 929 AM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of
  producing waterspouts was located along a line extending from 14 nm
  north of Pass Christian to near Eden Isle, moving east at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 40 to 50 knots, and
           large hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
           vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
           Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
           winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher
           waves. Large hail could result in injury and damage to
           boats...vessels and oil rigs.

* Locations impacted include...
  Cat Island, Mississippi Sound, Pass Christian, Horn Island, Ship
  Island, Lake Borgne, and Pascagoula.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dangerous high winds and suddenly higher waves are expected! Seek
shelter or move to safe harbor immediately!

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms.
