.Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters...
High pressure crest over the MA and RI waters Monday night and
Tuesday morning, yielding diminishing freezing spray and winds. Low
pressure tracks across northern New England Tuesday night, while a
weaker secondary low tries to develop near Cape Cod. This secondary
low becomes the dominant low Wed south of Nova Scotia, and
eventually into a gale center Thu, as it heads towards Newfoundland.
Dry WNW winds prevail into Friday and possibly Saturday.
