  East Central Macoupin County in southwestern Illinois...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 753 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles east of
  Carlinville, moving east at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Standard City, Atwater, Hornsby, Honey Bend, Raymond, Litchfield,
  Butler, Hillsboro, Taylor Springs, Schram City, Irving, Witt,
  Coffeen, Coalton, Wenonah, Nokomis, Chapman and Fillmore.

This includes the following State Parks...
Lake Lou Yaeger.

This includes Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 52 and 63.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for portions of
south central and southwest Illinois.
