...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN TULARE COUNTY
THROUGH 445 PM PDT...

At 344 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 21 miles west of Cartago, or 21 miles west of Olancha,
moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...These could produce small amounts of precipitation or dry
         lightning. Be aware for rapid fire starts. Gusty, erratic
         outflow winds could impact any fires nearby.

Locations impacted include...
Casa Vieja Meadows, Rock Creek Ranger Station, Kern Canyon Ranger
Station, and Tunnel Guard Station.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
