Western winds now gusting to 15 to 30 mph will impact the region through this evening. Those planning to recreate on area lakes should prepare for choppy conditions. A lake wind advisory for Flathead lake is in effect through this afternoon. Ridging quickly redevelops Thursday and Friday with temperatures around freezing each morning. Another cold will move through the region late Friday and Saturday morning. Gusty winds will accompany the front. One new twist, models now show increasing chances for scattered showers through Saturday morning. Precipitation amounts will be light. The pattern stays pretty consistent through at least the middle to end of next week (Oct 11-12th); above normal temperatures, dry with some periods of breezy conditions in the afternoon. && .AVIATION...A dry cold front moving through the region contains westerly winds gusting to 15-25 knots.
