The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Putnam County in north central Illinois...
  Eastern Bureau County in north central Illinois...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 711 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Bureau
  County Fairgrounds, or over Princeton, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Princeton, Hennepin, Spring Valley, DePue, Granville, Ladd, Wyanet,
  Tiskilwa, La Moille, Dalzell, Bureau Junction, Mark, Cherry,
  Malden, Seatonville, Standard, Arlington, Dover, Hollowayville, and
  Coal Hollow.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 47 and 72.
 Interstate 180 between mile markers 1 and 13.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north central
Illinois.
