* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Doniphan County in northeastern Kansas...
  Eastern Atchison County in northeastern Kansas...
  Buchanan County in northwestern Missouri...
  Southeastern Holt County in northwestern Missouri...
  Northwestern Platte County in west central Missouri...
  Andrew County in northwestern Missouri...

* Until 345 PM CDT.

* At 307 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 6 miles south of Troy to near Atchison, moving
  northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Emergency management. Quarter size hail was reported in
           Atchison, Kansas, with this storm.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  St. Joseph, Atchison, Savannah, Wathena, Elwood, Troy, Country Club
  Villa, Country Club, Agency, Amazonia, Rushville, Fillmore, Lewis
  and Clark Village, Doniphan, Easton, De Kalb, Bolckow, Rosendale,
  Cosby, and Rea.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 29 between mile markers 38 and 68.
 Interstate 229 between mile markers 0 and 14.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northeastern
Kansas...and northwestern and west central Missouri.
