The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Knox County in northeastern Missouri...
  Shelby County in northeastern Missouri...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 551 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
  8 miles west of Greensburg to 29 miles west of Clarence, or along a
  line from 14 miles northwest of Edina to 40 miles west of Shelbina,
  moving northeast at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Greensburg, Hurdland, Maud, Clarence, Baring, Edina, Shelbina,
  Leonard, Shelbyville, Novelty, Hunnewell, Bethel, Plevna, Emden,
  Colony, Knox City and Newark.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT Friday for a
portion of northeast Missouri.
