  Monroe County in southwestern Illinois...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 724 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
  near Columbia to near Crystal City, moving east at 60 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Fountain, Harrisonville, Valmeyer, Monroe City, Foster Pond,
  Madonnaville, Waterloo, Chalfin Bridge, Wartburg, Maeystown,
  Burksville, Fults, New Design, Renault, Hecker and Ames.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for a portion of
southwest Illinois.
