...Locally dense fog tonight...

Fog will become increasingly widespread tonight across northern
Michigan. Locally dense fog is expected, reducing visibility to a
quarter mile or less in spots. The fog will not burn off until
after daybreak.

If you encounter dense fog while driving, use low-beam headlights,
reduce speed, and increase follow distance.
