EDT/545 PM CDT/ FOR NORTHWESTERN ST. JOSEPH...CENTRAL STARKE...LA
PORTE...NORTHWESTERN CASS AND BERRIEN COUNTIES...

At 610 PM EDT/510 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along a
line extending from 18 miles west of Van Buren SP to near
Shorewood-Tower Hill to Wheatfield, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. A 55 mph gust was
         recorded at Valparaiso airport.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Michigan City, La Porte, Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Westville,
Buchanan, Knox, Trail Creek, Benton Heights, Fair Plain, Bridgman,
New Buffalo, New Carlisle, Berrien Springs, North Judson, Watervliet,
Three Oaks, Coloma, Kingsford Heights, and Long Beach.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 196 between mile markers 0 and 7.
 Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 38 and 71.
 Interstate 94 in Indiana between mile markers 33 and 45.
 Interstate 94 in Michigan between mile markers 0 and 42.
