The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  North Central Fayette County in south central Illinois...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 749 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northeast
  of Wrights Corner, or 24 miles northeast of Vandalia, moving
  southeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  North Central Fayette County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for a portion of
south central Illinois.
